Privacy Policy
Mountain Goat Momentum ("we," "us") provides digital growth products and services for local service businesses, including an automated call answering service, local search visibility management, and review signage. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. It applies to our website, to the businesses that purchase our services ("clients"), and to people who call or receive messages from a business we serve ("callers").
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
From clients: business name and contact details, office hours, service area, pricing and service information used to configure the services, calendar access for appointment booking, and billing information processed by our payment provider.
From callers: when our answering service takes a call on behalf of a business, we collect what the caller shares in that conversation, which may include name, phone number, service address, a description of the issue, and appointment preferences. Calls answered by the service may be recorded and transcribed.
From website visitors: standard technical information such as browser type and pages visited, which may be collected through basic cookies or similar tools used for site functionality and simple analytics. Our website does not require an account and does not ask visitors for personal information. Our website may link to third party sites, such as review and map platforms; their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information solely to operate the services: answering calls under the client’s business name, sharing general business information with callers, such as hours, services, and pricing, as provided by the client or drawn from the client’s own website and public profiles, booking appointments into the client’s calendar, sending text message confirmations and review requests on the client’s behalf, tuning and improving each client’s configuration, reporting results to the client, and billing. As part of the search visibility services, we may also manage a client’s public business profiles and post responses to public reviews on the client’s behalf and in the client’s name; reviews and responses are public content governed by the platform where they appear. We do not use caller information for our own marketing, and we do not build profiles of callers across businesses.
3. TEXT MESSAGES
Callers may receive text messages related to the business they contacted, such as appointment confirmations and review requests. Message frequency is low and tied to the caller’s own interaction with that business. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out of further texts, or reply HELP for assistance. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
4. CALL RECORDING
Calls answered by our service may be recorded and transcribed so that the business receives accurate notes of the conversation and so the service can be corrected and improved. Where the law requires it, callers hear a recording disclosure at the start of the call. Continuing the call after the disclosure constitutes consent to the recording. Recordings and transcripts are used for notes, accuracy, and service quality only, and are never used to biometrically identify callers by voice.
5. HOW INFORMATION IS SHARED
For caller information, we act as a service provider processing data on behalf of the business the caller contacted. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing. Information is shared only with the infrastructure providers necessary to operate the services (telephony, voice, scheduling, and messaging platforms), with our payment processor for billing, with the client whose business the caller contacted (the conversation, notes, and appointment belong to that business relationship), and as required by law.
6. RETENTION AND DELETION
We keep information only as long as needed to provide the services and meet legal obligations. Clients may request deletion of their data at any time in writing, and we will delete it within thirty (30) days except where retention is required by law. Callers who wish to have their information deleted may contact the business they called or contact us directly using the information below.
7. SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. CHILDREN
Our services and website are intended for businesses and adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy of it, to correct it, or to have it deleted. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below and we will respond within a reasonable time. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with its last updated date.
